What do you think of Greek people?

Hello everyone, I am Greek and I would like to know what people from other countries think about us. I hope we haven't given you a bad impression :( but since there are bad and good people everywhere it can happen! "Scouttster" i noticed that you have been very aggressive and i am sorry if you had bad experience with Greek people before but you could be more polite. Therefore i checked the other questions you have answered to see if it was only towards us that you feel that way and i couldn't help than notice that you have been showing a lot of anger and rasistic behaviour to others too (Irish etc.). I judge you as a person but i will not judge the other people with the same nationality in the same way because rasistic comments will only be welcomed by rasists and no one else.

  1. σκέφτομαι ότι είστε όμορφοι άνθρωποι με το θαυμάσιο πολιτισμό
  2. well i love moussaka.
  3. my hair looks greek, but i dont have any greek in me, im sure there very nice ppl and greece would be a good place to vacation like Hawaii and japan
  4. My mom doesn't really like Greeks... that's because my dad is Greek, and they're divorced and don't like each other. Yeah, so my mom's American and doesn't like Greeks because my dad is Greek. I'm HALF GREEK! I LOVE IT! The food is so awesome! And the language... sounds beautiful to me (I wish my dad would've taught be Greek though).
  5. I am greek too! I think people think of us as loving but ver noisy! oh, and that we crash plates! lol And to Danny-lov... Gai ego skefto etsi!
  6. I know that the Greeks love the British, it goes back to when we liberated them from the Germans in the second world war. Personally I love Greek people, I love your arts, culture, food everything. Glad to meet you. Marcus X
  7. I would never generalise about a race of people. As you say, there are good and bad in every walk of life. Having said that, and Im sure its just coincidence, that every Greek person Ive met has been rude and obnoxious.
  8. I visited Corfu, Greece, earlier this year in March. I like their culture, their FOOD is awesome, the women we saw there were very pretty (although the ladies in the strip club charged 60 Euro per shot of Jack Daniel's) But all in all, that's a great place to visit. Nice culture, historical places... Everything.
  9. Didn't they invent homosexuality? Best idea ever less competition for the ladies.
  10. i'm not sure what to think, but artistic maybe. but i'm not really sure.
  11. I love greek people. I heard they are great lovers and are very passionate adventuresome people. Do they really like anal sex?
  12. I lived with a group of Greek people at university. They were, overall, a bunch of really nice people, friendly, and polite. The group I lived with were also very very very loud, constantly partying! That said... I totally agree with the person who said earlier that generalisations are meaningless... we're all individuals regardless of where we're from. :)
  13. I had loads of good times out on the town with Greek people at mu college too. But can you do us a favour, please? Take that brainless oaf Prince Philip back to your Royal Family? Why Liz chose him I'll never know... he's the only Greek person I've known to be a complete and utter imbecile.
  14. Μ'αρεσουνε πολη οι Ελλινες
  15. Kalamata olives are one of my favorite things ever. I've never gotten a bad impression from anything Greek. I only know a few Greek men and they're very nice to me. All my friends that have been there on vacation show me pictures where everything is blue and white. It looks beautiful and I'd love to go someday!
  16. NOT A LOT Y
  17. See, I haven't been to Greece and meet a lot of Helenics. But, I sat in an eight hour flight from Dubai to Manila with a really friendly Greek guy. He's on a business trip and from that "brief " time that I spent with him, I could say that you're very friendly, well mannered and that your very rich culture is much preserved; which, I must say is very admirable. My aunt visited your country a few years back and got the same feedback so, I think you're generally a good buch o peeps! You're right in saying that: everywhere there are both good and bad people, I think that the good and bad is in every person--yes, even the pope has a bad side...heck, I think it keeps the balance that we need, girl. Keep Cool!
  18. They were all very friendly and lovely when we went. They all have very dark, curly hair which my husband and I cooed over every time we saw a young guy or girl. I love the food. I love their weather, they all are so laid back. The only thing that puts me off is their formidable language! We couldn't make out a single road sign!
  19. I dont think you can stereotypepeople based on their race, religion or whatever. Some Greeks are chraming, entertaining and intersting, some are ignorant pi11ocks. is that a greek issue or a person issue... my bets on the latter. One comment (gerneralisiation) I would make is that some Greek men can be very prejudiced and bigoted and sexist. that may well be cultural. but irrespective of your background or your culture ultimately its how you as an individual behave that sets the impression people have of you. they may have impressions of the nationality probably based on prejudice and stereotypes.
  20. I think Greek people are great :-) When I was at University, one of my classmates was half-Greek and she was - and still is - a wonderful friend. Also, I had a flatmate who came from Greece (and therefore a full-Greek) and he was the craziest guy I've ever met. He taught me how to make Greek Omlette but I've been a fool and forgotten the reciepe :-( I still think Greeks are great and would love to visit Greece one day :-)
  21. I,m from a little town in Georgia. Actually, I don't really know anyone that's Greek! A friend of mine has a mother that is Greek. I went to a party her mom had; 'A traditional, Greek engagement party.' I had allot of fun. You guys really know how to throw a party!
  22. Just like I feel about people from any other country. If you are a good person, I welcome you! Prejudice should not be a factor in any relationship. I some people from Laos, hate others. Have friends and enemies in Greece. It really doesn't matter where you are, it matters what kind of person you are.
  23. Greeks are egotistical, money hungry, cut-throats. Don't ever forget that... They are not worse than the jews, when it comes to swindling a buck but I'd say they stand right beside the Irish when it comes to holding on to a buck.. tightwads! You asked me what I thought about greek people, right? Every Greek I have ever done business with is either for himself or his fellow greek. I consider Greeks like Puerto Ricans - they never assimilated in the USA like Italians or the Poles and many others for that matter... Even Cubans have assimilated better than Greeks. Greeks are all about Greece, and Greek nationality. You'd never see a Greek waving Old Glory...
