What month is the best month to travel to Greece? Im planning a trip for next year but not sure when to go...?

1. nothing beats island hopping in Greece during the summer! lots of beautiful people and extravagant parties to spice up your life!
2. The best time to visit Greece in my opinion is either October or May... Depending on where you're going, most of the islands aren't too hot at this time of year, and especially in May all of the spring herbs are flowering in the mountains and the sea is easily warm enough for swimming. Also there are less tourists so it's a much more authentic experience, and travel is easier. It's much greener at that time of year than in late summer (August) when everything starts to go a bit brown...

4. Hm... Greece is always beautiful depending on what you wanna do... Want to go on a trip around the islands? Try early autumn Sept-Oct when the weather is still warm, the prices are lower and the people are more relaxed... Want to visit little mountain villages? Try November or April so that the cold will not be that much and the weather conditions (as the roads are not that good) are better... Many options, many places... Do not hesitate to be more specific and I will try to get more info on the subject. Have fun
5. I suggest April, May and October, November. The summer months, especially in Athens (it´s situated in a valley) and also the other parts of Greece, can be extremely hot. Last summer was just terrible, over 40 degrees C. Unbearable . Greece struggled with forest fires for many weeks, if not months. There was not even a drop of rain, which can be very refreshing, last summer a lot of rain would have been needed. Hope I could help you in some way!
6. Dear Cathy, you can try early (er) summer like June-July or early September.That's when the weather is great and not too many tourists. If you go with small kids I am sure you'd want the summer months when the schools are closed. But if you go with grown ups and doesn't matter, then the months above will be perfect. A little secret:If you travel around June 15-18 the tickets are still cheap and the weather is phenomenal
7. May is a nice time. The weather is warming up but not unbearable like July and August. September-October can be nice if a little unpredictable. June is nice too very warm but not like July and August when it's sometimes difficult to breath.
8. April is quite nice. My husband and I went to Greece this past April and found it already 90 degrees F and quite beautiful.
9. 1 golden star for your question; it is placed in the right section 'travel Greece'!! Out of 15 years experience in travelling accross Greece, I would suggest May, June & September.. unless you love extreme heat during July & August. But then again, Greece is so special that the other 7 months are worth considering; then you are avoiding extreme tourism, and Greeks have more time for you.
