Is nine days enough to travel through Greece and Turkey?

Spring Break--flying from Geneva--hoping to fly into Athens and make our way to Istanbul--would we have enough time in 9 days?

  1. Turkey and Greece in 9 days? Forget it. Athens and Istanbul for 9 days? Possible, but not ideal. Note that tourist season usually does not start until April, so business at a lot of tourist attractions/facilities will be slow. Hotels might be closed for renovations, ferries might not run, etc.
  2. Not really, not if you really want see and experience the sights I've traveled alot because my mother owns her own travel agancy/cruise business, I spent 28 days in Greece and still didnt see all of it, but I enjoyed it and for the time you go there so will you so have fun my friend oh make sure to try the vinno its great. 3. Anything is possible, you just have to understand what your limitations are. In 9 days, you may want to just pick one country because you're only going to really skim the surface if you try to cram them both in. Alternatively, if you just want to do the tourist thing and get some pictures that say you were there, go to Athens for 3 days and Istanbul for 3, then pack the other 3 days traveling between the two. I think there will always be afficionados who love a place telling you you can't POSSIBLY do it, but if it makes you happy, go for it.
