The best time to travel to greece?
I m looking to travel to greece this summer (sometime between the end of may to august) for at least week or so with my girl. When would it be the best time to go? And when would be the cheapest? Are there any special romantic or sightseeing spots that we should definitely visit? Also, is it a good idea to rent a scooter? Hope I didn't ask too much and thanks for your time!

- Are you traveling from USA? If so, traveling before June 1 is definitely cheaper, for both airfare and accommodations. In Greece, May is not as hot and does not have as many tourists as during June, July and August. You must DEFINITELY do sightseeing in Athens, there is a lot to see. But just stay for a couple of days there, because then u will want to take your girl to some islands. There are many to choose from. Do you like crowded places? or ones that are not? That is another thing you'll have to take into consideration. You said u want romantic so I'll probably have to say Santorini. But then now that I think about it, ANY Greek island can be romantic as long as u have the right ingredients: namely sun, sea, sand. Scooters are a good idea........sure beats walking long distances. But then again walking is nice, too. I would NOT recommend scooters in Athens...just the islands.
- i agree iwth what the person above me said traveling from USa to europ especially during vacation season can be pretty expensive flight tickets are always cheaper befor june 12-15th after that thur august they are more costly
- springtime of course in Marts-April everything is green and flowering. -
- I'd say that Spring is best. Just having warmed up but not unbearably hot. Late May/early June.
- Any time is Good to fly to Greece but on the season month you might get a break on the fare and hotel accommodations Bonn voyage and have good time !
