- Due to the various grammar problems, I'm not totally sure what you're asking. However, I can recommend that you look up Greece and Aztec in your favorite encyclopedia and flip over to the appropriate sections on cultural and physical development. The various projects will include the dates; you can measure the distance on the globe. For specifics on Alexander's short period, look under "Alexander the Great". That, of course, is assuming that Alexander of Macedonia is the person to whom you're trying to refer.
- It's not strange that you have such a problem. Aleksandar was not a Greek, he was Macedonian, and Mecedonia and Greece are two different countries!
- The question is correct! Alexander was from Authentic Macedonia of Greece, not from the modern (Slavic/Albanian)Macedonia. The name is "ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ" (Alexandros or Alexander) and not Alaksandar (Jesus!! What language is this???) The answer is gigantic and it would be impossible to answer! But you will find helpful the following site which have some outline of Alexander Achievements and about the Aztec kingdom. http://www.history.com/marquee.do?content_type=Marquee_Generic&content_type_id=51242&display_order=2&marquee_id=51188 Engineering An Empire: Greece: Age of Alexander "In 438 BC the Parthenon was completed. This masterpiece is the crowning achievement for the Greek people. Without Alexander the Great, it is possible Greece's Golden Era would have been just a footnote in history. Tens of thousands would die during Alexander's relentless attacks on Persia and Egypt, yet, his armies carried Greek life, culture and values far abroad and this empire became known as the "Hellenistic" world. Greece's amazing engineering achievements and ideas are still with us today." And Engineering an Empire: The Aztecs "In less than 200 years the Aztec's transformed themselves from a band of wandering nomads to the greatest civilization the New World had ever known. What records remain of this amazing feat indicate they did it through brilliant military campaigns and by ingeniously applying technology to master the harsh environment they faced. They built their capital city where no city should have been possible: in the middle of a lake. The Aztec also practiced human sacrifice on an unprecedented scale and made many enemies. By the time the Spaniards landed they had no trouble recruiting tribal allies to destroy the Aztecs. Watch with host Peter Weller as we examine the architecture and infrastructure behind the New World's greatest, and last, indigenous society." Can you spot now the differences!!! Much more than similarities! {And some quotes for those who don’t know that ancient Macedonians were Greeks. Herodotus gives clear descriptions for the Greek origin of the Macedonians using their own words: “... Had I not greatly at heart the common welfare of Greece I should not have come to tell you; but I AM MYSELF GREEK by descent, and I would not willingly see Greece exchange freedom for slavery.... consider the risk I have run, out of zeal for the Greek cause, to acquaint you with what Mardonius intends, and to save you from being surprised by the barbarians. I am Alexander of Macedon." (Herodotus, The Histories, 9.45) and >"Tell your king who sent you how a Greek, his viceroy of Macedonia has received you hospitably... " (Herodotus V, 20, 4) and >"Now that the men of this family are Greeks, sprung from Perdiccas, as they themselves affirm, is a thing which I can declare on my own knowledge, and which I will hereafter make plainly evident. That they are so has been already adjudged by those who manage the Pan-Hellenic contest at Olympia" (Herodotus, the Histories 8.43) And “Arrian, "Anabasis of Alexander" "There are Greek troops, to be sure, in Persian service -- but how different is theirs cause from ours ! They will be fighting for pay--- and not much of it at that; we on the contrary shall fight for Greece, and our hearts will be in it." (Arrian, 11.7) "But Alexander said, `If I were not Alexandros, I should be Diogenes'; that is to say: `If it were not my purpose to combine barbarian things with things Greek, to traverse and civilize every continent, to search out the uttermost parts of land and sea, to push the bounds of Macedonia to the farthest Ocean, and to spread and shower the blessings of the Greek justice and peace over every nation, I should not be content to sit quietly in the luxury of idle power, but I should emulate the frugality of Diogenes. But as things are, forgive me Diogenes, that I imitate Heracles, and emulate Pursues, and follow in the footsteps of Dionysus, the divine author and PROGENOTOR of my family, and desire that VICTORIOUS GREEKS should dance again in India and revive the memory of the Bacchic revels among the savage mountain tribes beyond the Kaukasos...' " (Plutarchos, On the Fortune of Alexander, 332 a-b) That should be enough!
