Dating and loving greek men? I hope someone out here can give me some insight because I had started dating a greek guy a long time ago and then he abruptly dumped me because his parents threatened to cut him off financially in his last year of law school. Are greek parents manipulative like that. Currently I like a guy who's greek and I don't come to the table with baggage or things that would turn off the average parent(s) like out of wedlock children and I am well educated with two degrees. How do you appeal to a mother so she'll open up to you and not reject you. I've studied a bit of greek history and other elements of greek culture. What are the chances of a black woman dating a greek man especially an educated, never been married or had children black woman? If there's someone of greek decent that would be ideal for my question to be answered best answer gets 10 points.
Am I wasting my time dating a greek guy? We have been dating for 8 months and he says he loves me. However, his family has made it very clear that they want him to marry a greek girl. He says he doesn't care what his family thinks, but on the other hand, he tells me he wish I was greek because it would make his life much easier.
I am a black female seriously dating a greek guy long distance relationship. Can anyone give me tips.? My greek cypriot boyfriend and I have dated each other for the second time for about two years. I have a interracially mixed child from a previous relationship. The only people objecting our possible marriage is his parents. His siblings are fine with us being together and adore my little boy. Does anyone have tips on me going to his country and finding a job and softening the hearts of his parents? Can this work out since we are both very strong minded indivuals?

Dates and times in Greek mythology? How did the gods in Greek mythology say the dates and times? How did the Greeks say specific time and day? For example, February 5th? Also, did the gods in Greek Mythology have months like what we have now? (e.g. January-December) or did they have another way of refering the date and times?
When will you be informed the date of joining the Greek army? Hello everyone :) I would like to find out when a Greek citizen ll be informed on the date of joining the Greek Army? When did the Titanomachy (and other Greek Myths) occur? I'm looking for dates in Greek Mythology. Are there any original sources (like Hesiod or Ovid) that give us any clues as to when events happened? For instance, when did Cronos swallow his children? When was the Titanomachy (when the Gods struck out against the ruling Titans) and when was the Giantomachy (when the Giants struck back against the Gods)? Did all this take place in 10 million BC or was it 10,000 BC? Plato tells us that Atlantis sunk around 9600BC, but when did everything else happen? If you have any other landmark dates Please note that I'm looking for mythological dates (i.e. concerning greek gods), not historical dates (i.e. concerning greek men and women). Thanks for your insights!
Info on Greek People? I have recently met and began dating a wonderful Greek woman. However, I'm from the south and don't know anything about Greeks and I don't want to appear ignorant to her. I am mostly interested in her Greek Orthodox religion and how it compares to say southern baptists. I want to know anything I can about anything related to Greeks. Thanks.
Tell me about Greek culture and food? I'm 24 and had a dated a guy that is Greek on his mother's side. If we do get back together I want to know more about what food greeks like and what is impressive for me to know about their culture.
Dating Advice! plz? I'm a guy who just got out of a 6 year committed relationship. I can get pretty much any girl's number and can land dates pretty easily. I'm an sexy and talented Greek God and have biceps the size of watermelons but I tend to either under play or over play during the first couple of dates, and then the girl just sort of either dissappears or turns into a 'friend'. How can I: a) Find an affordable dating solution ($30+ meals are a no go) b) Get a guaranteed kiss at the end of the night c) Get a solid followup series of dates (not get togethers) d) Improve my overall ability to get to the point of intimacy with a woman within a few dates (Ideally the 1st, 2nd or 3rd)? -Note: I'm not looking at advice in the sack, I'm looking for tips on how to get to the sack faster (Advice from both sexes is appreciated). I am not deliberately looking for a serious relationship, just fooling around, but I am open to the idea... The complicated part is that I am casually seeing my EX girlfriend. HELP
I am 27 and will be gettied married next summer (date not set) and have questions about Greek wedding.? Not so much about ceremony, but would like to include some Greek traditions. Also would like to learn as much as possible in order to be the best wife I can be. Heritage and family are very important to both of us, and I want to immerse myself in the culture, traditions, etc. Serious answers only please! Thanks Fizzygurrl! That is a great idea. I actually bought the movie around Christmas time right after we got engaged. I've watched it at least fifty times! Great suggestion! I have also ordered CD's to learn to speak Greek and bought several books. I wonder if any there are any natives on here who can tell me more about the role of being a good Greek wife (every cultures expections seem to have slight nuances to them). My fiance is the most wonderful man I've ever met and I want to be the best wife I can!
Greek Chat? I need to know if there are any free Greek chat rooms. I new-ish here and I'm looking to make some new friends. I'm NOT looking for dating sites.
Is it realistic to think that a nongreek male could marry a greek girl and they get through it in one piece? He's a non- Greek and I'm Greek. We've spoken about marriage and he's willing to become as Greek as possible (and for any possible kids to be Greek) but I'm afraid that my parents still won't approve. My dad doesnt know (because if he did he'd die), my mom thinks us dating is a fling (its been some time that we've been going out, past the time this would be considered a fling), and the rest of my family truely believe i wont be happy with someone who is not greek. is it even possible to think this can work??? I really need some kind of reassurance or guidance on this. we do love each other dearly, but i'm terrified that my parents would disown me because he's not greek. they're very greek-oriented, and my father has even told me he wouldnt consider me part of the family if i did... someone please offer me some guidance or words of solace. thank you so much my parents dont want to even meet him because they dont think that our relationship is worth the effort for them :-\
Does anyone know why Greek brothers and sisters cannot marry? I am dating a man whose brother is also going out with my sister. His mother (who is Greek) advised me this is taboo but she cannot give me a valid reason. I think it may be something with their religion but not sure. Would anyone know what this is about?
